Hey guys, I just finesed buidling my grow box and the idea just poped up, is it possible to get busted from the electric bill that jumps up from using just only 400 Watts HPS light? Thanks
No ,unless ya have 10 of them. LOL. A 400w light will consume about the same elec. as another computer. They use close to the same.
What he said ^ There are many appliances that use just as much (or more) electricity than a HID such as a 400w HPS. Some peoples bathroom fixtures use more electricity than that. For instance... one of the bathrooms in my house has 2 250w heat lamps, plus 5 40w regular light bulbs. Now add the two exhaust fans and that's like... 1KW just in my bathroom. They aren't on all the time obviously, but you get the idea.
Would one of thoe 400 watt HPS lights be enopugh for a closet grow in a walk in closet? like 5-8 plants or something?
