i went to a new psychiatrist the other day and she wants me to get a bunch of bloodwork..including a drug test. wtf? i've never had a doc do that. when i was in the hospital of course they did but i'm not under that kind of care anymore. i'm gonna pass so i'm not worried but now any oppurtunity to get fucked up needs to pass me by until next week when i get it done.
some do, some dont...i had a psychiatrist that only saw me once a month for like 2 minutes at a time...she got all her info from my therapist...
I've been to a few psychiatrists and if I was using any drugs, they all said they couldn't help me. The general statement was that the liability was too large if my drug use interacted with my prescriptions. But they always asked me if I was using drugs. They never went so far as to test me.
Me and my old therapist talked about weed all the time, it was pretty sweet. we watched kottonmouth king music videos on her computer it was basically awesome.

The only one I had was like that, fuckin script writer, I copy machine was about as useful imo. She went through the same questions over and over each time, like a robot. Oh I see you gained weight blah blah, oh and she weighed me each time.... She also said I didn't have ADD/ADHD because I didn't exhibit symtoms by the age of five....wtf? Short Pakistani bitch. But yea I don't see this as in any way unusual OP. If you are on any meds they like to now if you are taking recreational drugs too, or to treat substance "abuse" proactively. Wow. Talking about weed, done it but watching kk music videos haha thats hilarious! I want this therapist.
