Interveinal chlorosis on younger growth

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by carmel, Sep 21, 2021.

  1. One of my plants is going light green on me, some slight interveinal chlorosis showing up on younger leaves, distal half first (so not a Mg issue since older growth is just fine)

    Im using Co2,

Pic 2 - zoom on chlorosis leaf

    Any ideas? 20210920_212043.jpg 20210920_212030.jpg 20210920_212030.jpg

  2. Magnesium is only somewhat mobile the only true mobile nutrients that start from the bottom up are nkp

Mobile nutrients are nitrogen in the form of nitrate, phosphorus (P) in the form of phosphate, potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), chlorine (Cl), zinc (Zn) and molybdene (Mo). Calcium (Ca), sulfur (S), iron (Fe), boron (B) and copper (Cu) are immobile.

  3. I'm starting to suspect it is either light bleaching, or low nitrogen (using floranova bloom and liquid Kool bloom (Kool Bloom being half the amount of FN bloom by volume )

  4. I believe I found a solution.

Cut the Kool bloom out till week 4

Reduced calimagic to 2/3 that I was using, and completing the rest with magnífical (has nitrogen and a bunch of iron) and epsom salt (more magnesium)

I honestly think it is an iron magnesium nitrogen issue.

    Plants are liking it
