so ive decided to make a bamboo bong. So far ive got it sawed down to about 2 feet, smoothed out on both sides, one end is corked with sealant and is drying onto a base to support it upright right now. my only problem, how do you guys think i shouyld go about putting the whole in the side for the bowl to go in? when i was saying the bamboo, it started to splinter slightly so i taped it up beforeso. im guessing i should do the same with the whole and tape around it real tight to prevent as much damage as possible. but i dont have a drill press, so whats the next best bet? regular drill with a really small bit, a few clamps, and some slow precision work? give me ideas people!
