I'm Quitting MMJ Take a look why - Migraines

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by mrsoft47, May 15, 2011.

  1. Thank you. I laughed and yelled at my GP last visit b/c she asked how i was doing and i told her i'm still throwing up. She asked what the specialists found and i told her that they were all negative tests but asked to see their reports that were sent. NO REPORTS SENT!!!! WTH???

She asked why i hadn't contacted her again and i said b/c what else is she going to do? i've had an MRI, x-rays, blood, urine and stool tests, two scopes and they STILL don't know what's up. i tried suggesting a couple things including thyroid levels and basically got laughed out of the office b/c i don't have a medical degree and must just be paranoid from all the crap on the internet. idk, last time i checked puke was puke. THEN it must be all in my head. A "nervous" stomach. That never existed until i started taking a hell of a cocktail when diagnosed with Fibro.

  2. Hey I feel the fibro pain....... Have you ever tried amino acids to relieve the oxidative stress? about a month on N-Acetyl-Cysteine will help with the pain there in ur soft tissue maybe even joints, It's not a pain killer of any sort but it was a God-send - Literally God himself sent it to my door - Long story;) but I was a pastor at one stage......

Anyhow I was trying to make some cash and amino acids are expensive over the counter but I ordered bulk N-Acetyl-Cysteine and by a holy-hunch and some prayer I commenced taking it blindly with only a little knowledge of what it could do.

3 weeks later I found that the pain in my left shoulder blade was gone.... it left alot of other pains and I just stopped for no reason.... I didn't know about glutathione or anything like that.......Oxidative stress, read it up and maybe find a little relief

    I've been there too :p

  3.
  4. You sound an awful lot like a friend i have on FB that is a Dr and constantly says that 90% of our problems are thyroid related. Might just have to set up that phone consult.

  5. .

Yeah They are Bias, Like I originally posted - I told the doc 6yrs of pain 1-2yrs max of smoke - same symptoms all the way - i told him to stick it where it fits, if only they would listen to the patient.....

Also thanks for all those articles but I already knew that it helped with unmanaged migraines, like i said opiates make me angry..... so MMJ was the very best for me...

I can't read all the articles but I will make an effort coz of the effort of the post and you always need to keep learning......

Also if this all falls in a hole guess what i'll be reaching for..... yep, but I already feel heaps better so I guess time will tell.....

Also What strain are you currently using collectively for migraines? I'm using Strawberry cough only because I had Panic disorder thru this.

SIDETRACK ------ I DON"T CARE WHAT A DOCTOR SAYS BUT IF YOU ARE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET ON XANAX OR CLONAZEPAM AND WANT TO GET OFF AND FIND URSELF IN A PSHYCOTIC RAGE WHEN STRESSED ------ PULL OUT UR BONG ASAP I'LL POST SOME EXPERIENCES LATER ----- POT IS THE ONE MED THAT HELPED

  6. Who Does? My Doc also was sus on my thyroid with all my weight loss, was 143lbs down to 125 just thru lack of appetite in last series of ttacks, but put on a few lbs since managing

Has anyone tried cheese from GHS for pain ------ very helpful I remember but then the dealer ran out. Oh well:rolleyes:

  7. I tend to rotate my strains due the random variability of strain selection at my co-op. I tend to use hybrids that are indica dominant. I have read that indicas block pain and that sativas block conscious perception of pain so that is why I try to get a hybrid. Sativas tend to make me a little anxious so I stay away from pure sativas. If I get a migraine during the day and I need to be alert I like to use a sativa dominant hybrid called Blue Dream. Otherwise, the indica dominant hybrid I like to use is Romulan.

  8. Romulan....Was gonna try it, oh well.....this isn't a strain reveiw but yeah i was curious for the strains people might be using

    cheers

  9. Hi,

My Endo (I have pituitary tumors, the last one catastrophically ruptured destroying my pituitary and adrenal glands) believes that fibro is an endocrin issue-he'd definitely think you had issues if you lost a lot of weight for no reason, and had nausea-it was my most overwhelming symptom for my tumor and endocrine issues, including thyroid, and if you're female there are other symptoms also that you might not think of that could be there~ if you want more info contact me privately. I have fibro, EBV, Migraines, Lupus, you name it , they've found it, the more testing they do the more they find, amazing isn't it? I just got my dr's recommendation for a card, didn't even have to ask, and she thinks it may get me off of as many as 5-6 of my current meds, including the ones for nausea, I'm taking phenergan and compazine, not to mention opioids, muscle relaxants and other stuff. It's unreal how many conventional meds I'm on. I'd love to ditch as many as possible because I can't imagine the damage they've done and are still doing to my liver and kidneys. I still have to apply for a card, but it's $100 so won't have a chance til Friday (hubby's payday, I haven't been able to work since I became ill over five years ago and he makes too much $ for me to get disability benefits, what a crock!). If I were on medicaid it would only be $25, the state is making a fortune on these cards. IF only some of this was covered by insurance, I know in our state (MI) the pharmacies are trying to get the dispensaries closed and the only ones able to dispense would be pharmacies. It's expected to pass by 2013 or so. Possibly sooner.

I have no idea where to start in terms of what to get and how to make it edible or how much to take etc. It's all so complicated when you're unfamiliar. So I'm very grateful I found this site. I'm just praying that I get the card and that MMJ is a success for me!

    We all do!

though I didn't have tumors the migraines were debilitating with all of the peripheral symptoms - IBS, Irritable, Depression, Anxiety, rage,

I found the first time I smoked after years of abstinence tips gave me a nice buzz to begin with, and was THE BEST ANTIDEPRESSANT I had tried 'till that date.

Someone has asked in the thread if I looked at my diet as-well ? Yeah it was one of the first things I did -

DIET - Cut out heaps of processed food - sorta helped / cut coffee down (hormone / sleep /

ENVIRONMENT - EMF (My phone, My Lights, Wi-Fi) - got and emf shield coming this week..... Please don't debunk this as tinfoil hat wering or u might just prove to be a sterotype pothead...... and that's not what we are here. We will see if this helps

MERCURY - Got three teeth pulled with big black mercury fillings - Helped in many ways

STRESS - Weed increases a hormone called cortisol - the stress hormone, cortisolbut i'm sure if u had a ruptured adrenal you would know somewhat of cortisol.

but the paradox is that weed calms people too - for me It would go like this
1)smoke weed - 3-6 big bowls after a while depending on what was going on.

2)5 - 10 minutes later I was happy then the adrenaline dump would start, heart palps, anxiety,

    3) another 10 - 30 mins feeling fine, can sleep, eat, whatever, just the social anxiety remained

hope it help, and i'm sure 100% from personal experience it will help any of the benzo withdrawal symptoms - from psychosis to calm in 5 minutes

I know this thread is about quitting, but there was a long road before I ever got close to it and MMJ helped alot.... Can't go dissing it just because i've quit:D

    ciao

(Disclaimer) Also be careful 'coz we a'int docs here it's just friendly chit chat (Disclaimer) this is good and bad. Good 4 you coz we aren't as biased like the old quacks, bad for us 'coz if something went wrong we haven't got our huge insurance to protect us :)

  11. I went through exactly what you described and more it was a Yeast/Candida infection like this guy says, it got worse when I was growing to but it was because of the moisture in the air... candida/fungus loves it. Also when you have candida cannabis highs can become terrorfying it also hinders your bodies ability to get rid of it, I had to quit till I was better.

  12. so how did you get a firm diagnosis - docs scoff @ my parasitic concerns at one stage - tho it looked similar to systemic yeast at one stage?

  13. There are various tests but I am not aware of any that are proven. The best way is to start treating for it. I spent two years getting pushed from doc to doc the only thing that helped were benzos... they literally didn't have a clue. I got so ill that I would try anything... candida matched my symptoms but I was highly sceptical, but trust me if you have it you will know once you start treatment because your symptoms will get WAY worse. As the yeast dies off it releases more of the toxins like acetaldehyde that may be causing you grief at the mo. Get a box of threelac of the internet start with one sachet a day If you have it you will start feeling dieoff within the first week or 2 . Mine was on day 1. Then if you do have it you will need to cut out sugar from your diet and some carbs... some people can just use threelac without the diet most people will find this impossible. If you would like some more advice feel free to message me its a real nightmare to beat, it consumed my life for a long time and ive become somewhat of an expert on it.

  14. And since peripheral neuropathy is not a symptom of abdominal migraine, here is one I know they did not test for....:)

    Porphyria

Had to get in my rare disease of the day.

  15. hehe

    Rarer indeed KURU

Aside from the rarest disease contest - i've found that a simple massage of my scalp releives 100% every symptom from my groin to my eyebrow - weird.

Sux coz I am getting better results when toasted...... just can't relax in the same way yet.....???

  16. If the OP has been regularly consuming human brains, I do hope he mentioned this to his attending physician.

  17. off topic but I think the OP has real concern if they look anything like this and a hankering for brains:devious::p

    Get checked for KURU

  18. People liked my other posts in the topic. Whatever, good sir. ;)

  19. lets not have a debate here, point is the input was valid....... and the point was not that we could wear sun glasses or tin foil or get another dealer heck do you really think I can't call up 5 people now and get an oz? or does chronic only exist in the trust of an elite few dealers........the rest must grow their own.......which isn't so bad......- the point of making this thread was to inform people of one of many possible causes for their problems...Abdo migraines.... and once diagnosed maybe they can adjust their lifestyles to find themselves more comfortable.. that in essence is what any analgesic is about- making some sort of chronic pain less.

Some people have responded with thanks and thats all this was about, other have responded with synicism or just plain old stupid.... can't help the stupids..

    so again thanks floating_by

  20. man if you want to quit:D just do it you.Good luck.
