I Have A Few Specific Plant Questions

Discussion in 'Science and Nature' started by Dizzy, Nov 30, 2021.

  1. I Just Got Done Reading A Story Where The Bad Guy Was Usin All Kinda Poisons An Gases As Weapons An Alotta Them He Made From Everyday Natural Plants He Grow In His Own Green House. Is That True Could People Really Do That If They Knew How?

Also In One Of My Video Games There Isa Part Where The Air Is So Toxic From These Plants Shooting Poison Sporres Out Constantly. Has There Ever Been A Species That Did Anyting Like That? Maybe Even Before Humans Existed Or Someting.

I Just Curious Mainly I Thought It Was Worth Askin Too See If Any Of You Much Smarter Folks On Here Would Know.

  4. There are definitely a lot of plants and fungi that can and have been used as poisons. Many of which are quite common.

In a gas form tho? Not sure about that.

  6. You can definitely make your own poisons from plants. Hemlock is one off the top of my head.

I assume any toxic or poisonous plant could be turned into poison. You could crush it, dry it, cook it, etc. to turn it into the form you want. The seeds of some fruit are poisonous.

As for plants that produce poison spores or a cloud....:confused_2: but there are plenty of plants that secrete a toxic sap like giant hogweed or manchineel tree.
