I hate junk mail and scams

  1. Usually, when the post comes.. there's a pile of junk that usually goes straight in the bin. I know its junk when its address to 'the household' or 'householder/', never has a particular address, very vague ect.

But now the chancers are up to new tricks.. using the voting register to get my name and my address. The irish voting register is too easy to access and I'm really hacked off about it.

Got a letter today that had my address, name from the people who organize 'the Spanish lottery' saying I won '€9000 only' but in order to get it, all I need to do is give them my bank account number and pin. What made it even more 'legit' was the 'official document' (official spelt wrong) watermark.

    That's grand so.
I've won the lottery in a country that I've never even been to.
Who falls for this kind of shit :confused:

  2. It's pretty sad but a lot of the older generation falls for it :( I do hear if you return the mail to sender it cost them money so just keep doing that
