ok so i got this light today on a whim... and i wanna know if can grow a plant or 2 under it... its a 300w halogen light that gives off 6,000 lumens i plugged it in and it gets pretty warm... will this work well to grow under? any help is appreciated
I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but halogen lights are no good for growing MJ. You'll want either Metal Halide (best for veg), HPS (best for flowering, but good for growing all the way through), or CFL's if you can't afford any of the afore mentioned lights. Halogen bulbs burn WAY hot, and they don't put out the right spectrum, so if you're plannin on growin w/that light, you're wasting your time/money.
