Hydro: Water and Nutes

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by Whodi, Aug 10, 2006.

  1. I'm going with a 10 gallon hydro system. Do I fill the container with 10 gallons of water, or how much exactly; and is it ok to use garden hose water? Do I have to change the water often or just when I go from veggie to flowering?

How often do I add nutes; once every 7 days or what; Do I have to change the water when I add the same type of nutes, or just before I switch to the bloom nutes?

Oh, and do i run the air pump line into the water or where?

    Thanks

  2. There are many many different types of hydro.. which are you doing??? Drip? Aeroponics? DWC(bubble buckets), EBB/Flow ect ect.

If its a 10 gallon system then natrually its 10 gallons you fill it with.

Nutes are given on a weekly basis according to the nutes feeding chart, water is changed every 2 weeks (14 days) Bloom is only added when you reach flowering stage on the feeding chart.

Believe you need to do alot more reading as it seems you have no idea what your getting into.

Guess you first answer what type of system it is.
