Hydro question

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by ICKYSHUFFLE, Aug 29, 2008.

  1. I am planning a hydroponic setup and I have a question. I have seen setups such as the one that Mr. green built on I grow chronic where there is a resivoir that floods the planter tray several times a day and ive seen setups like the producer from bc northern lights

where there isnt a separate resivor and the planter tray stays flooded and the roots are always submerged. I was planning on useing the bcnl design since my buddie has one and I can look over it for ideas. Any information on the difference would be very helpful.

  2. with the producer i dont think the roots are underwater its a drip system. the roots hang above and strech twards the water. it drips from the top 2 times a day and filters back in to underlying res.
