    Anybody know how much energy a 1000 watt hps bulb would use on 24 hours a day?

    It would use 24 kilowatt-hours per day.

    1000 watts = 1 kilowatt

    1 kW x 24 hours = 24 kW hrs

    1000W, btw, will be a noticable spike in your electricity bill.
