Hey guys, right now I have 4 plants (2 that are 3 weeks old and 2 that are two weeks old) vegging under a 400w MH. I am thinking I am going to switch them (at least the oldest 2) over to 12/12 in about a week. My question is, if I were to put the HPS in for the last week while keeping the light schedule 18/6, would this help ease the plant into flowering better, or is that getting too "nit-picky?" I was just thinking that the gradual change to more red spectrum could make them flower a little easier/better. Any thoughts?
makes sense... some people also gradually change the light cycle a bit each day until they get down to 12/12... some folks even cut time off the days all the way up till harvest ending up at 9 on 15 off...
