I got these four 1k hps bulbs and ballasts together. They are virtual sun bulbs just economy bulbs i imagine only 30 to replace. Well it lasted 5 months and one bulb burned out. So first question is that normal life span? And secondly is it worth buying more expensive bulbs? I see some are like 75 to 200 bucks. So should I start replacing my cheap bulbs with better ones or should these virtual sun bulbs do just as well?
To question one. I would change your bulb every year. And to question two get you a multi spectrum 1000 bulb and try that. Youll have to pay alittle but it will be worth it.
