hps bulb in mh set-up?

    i have recently acquired a 150w metal halide light system... but i dont want to use the light system for veg. will it work with a 150w hps bulb, it fits but i want to know for sure if it will work... i dont want to break the bulb or the light system

    p.s. it says on the box "only for use with a 150w metal halide bulb"

    it wont work unless its a conversion bulb. if not it could explode if you try it.
