this is the same equipment i have, you probably know but...... i found with the pH pen that kinda swishing the tip in the solution seems to make it read a little faster, i kinda dunk it and swish it then set it in to settle on a #, maybe gets the bulb cover good.....?????
Your 1000 watt hps/mh will typically draw 8-9 amps and your 5000 but air conditioner will use around 6 amps but if they both start together then you are already close to the limit of that cuircut. It's the amperage you need to watch not the watts. Specifically start-up amps which are higher than the running amps. Be safe and run more power.
