Hi all I’m trying to do research for a friend. So I’m looking for so tips and tricks on ways to start and plant a large number of plants ? They are open to useing seeds and clones. Is there any equipment that will help the process of putting lots of little starter plants in the ground ? I figured that someone would know of some unique process to do this. Best way is by hand. Imo. But I'm sure there is some type of tool to ease that for someone. It's done with pine saplings with a hand tool, I know because I've seen it done. But not sure on weed. Still think hand planting would be the way to go.
I have not been charged with such a task, personally, but I have observed large quantities of plants and trees planted... all by hand. There ARE clever tools to help 'make the hole', but the plants are placed in. My neighbor used a portable drill with a 1 1/2" wood bit !!! 100 Spruce seedlings in 'no time'. I'm SURE that's not that way it's done on huge farms.
