Hey I just cut off a long of bamboo from across the street and wondering what I exactly have do to make the perfect bong out of it. Anyone ever make a bamboo bong before? It's gotta be easy, I'd just like some help. Thanks.
Dude i totally just did that today. my process was super easy and i'm sure anyone can do it all you need is a: drill with some drill bits of assorted sizes bamboo one piece for the tube and another for the perc mechanism. i used a rubber wine stopper but anything rubbery would work you need it to make an air seal pvc cap mine has a screw off thing for cleaning bowl I just cut off a 2 foot chunk out of bamboo make sure it has no cracks that go all the way through surface cracks are okay I took the cork and drilled a little hole in it drill a hole near the bottom of the tube above the node (because you cut it just below a node as a natural base right?) make sure that hole is a little smaller than your rubber hose bit. drill that same size hole in your other piece this will create natural percolation and it'll sound like a beast use that cap to cap off the smaller chunk and drill a hole in it beg enough but not too big for your bowl i used some epoxy glue to attach the cap to the natural perc tube. if that's at all unclear i will show pictures tomorrow =)
oh also for punching out the nodes inside the boo, use a crow bar and tape around the node so it doesnt crack just push and twist with the bar and the nodes will break so easy
