how to keep cigars fresh?

Discussion in 'General' started by Havok, Dec 15, 2009.

  1. Since dutchmaster cigars are becoming more expensive all the freakin time (up to $1.80 by me) i was thinking about just getting box of 50 and saving some money. But i was wondering if there is any way to keep them fresh, because there is nothing more annoying than a stale dutch. Ive heard of putting them in the freezer but ive never tried it. Ive though about gettin a humidifier but im not sure if it would be worth getting for low quality cigars.

    any suggestions?

Easier way to do it is use a clear tupperware container and just place it inside a cabinet, then take it out to check the humidity from time to time.

Alternatively, most tobacco stores sell these 1-use sticks that you fill with water and then slowly release the humidity to maintain an average humidity level. They're cheap and last for a long time.

That would probably be best for you.
