There's some kind of padding that helps with vibrations, I forget what it's called tho..helpful I know..lol!

Use a shoebox if you're running a diaphragm (aquarium) pump. Home Depot and Lowe's sell scrap wood, can usually find a quarter sheet of plywood for a few bucks. If you're running a commercial piston pump then this is the way to go, those things are beasts. Mine would shake a shoebox apart. Whatever you use, foam, insulation, whatever, just make sure you leave room for airflow so the pump doesn't overheat.
