how often should i test my ph

    You should test PH when topping off your res every day and adjust accordingly

    Thanks for clarifying that for me...

    Since i guess it wasnt implied clearly enough for zpyro thats what ive been told for hydro.. i would test the soil daily as well... Thanks zpyro for that incedibly constructive post where you ansered the OP in full... o wait ... nm...

    For soil, how are people testing their pH? Are you guys using testing strips from the water that drains out the bottom? Or are you using one of those probes? Which make/model? Or just a cheapee from home depot?

    If hydro, strips or digital meter? If digital meter, is it a cheapee off ebay? How often do you calibrate it?

    What price range was that tester? I'm wondering if the cheap ones are OK.
