How much of a difference can stems make on a weigh?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by grimreefa, Oct 5, 2013.

  1. Let's just pretend that u bought some really good bubba kush or lemon, and it's got a bunch of stems in it when u get it,

Approx how much of a miscalc could it make since obv you cant really smoke the stem,

Like for example if you had 1 oz,

    Just curious nothing more!

always thought about that lots ever since i started smokin but kinda silly question to ask.

  2. Less than you would think usually. Unless your talking huge thick stems it takes quite a bit just to make a few grams.

  3. I save my stems personally, once you get ~4-5 g of stems you can make stem tea.
it takes a really long time to get that many stems so I'd imagine not so much on the weight side of things

  4. 1 oz absolute most I would expect from dried stems 3 g's

  5. It's not a bad question OP.

I'll always take the small buds as opposed to those big beautiful buds.
Last month I didn't have a choice, it was big buds or nothing, so I decided to weigh the stems. Between the two Oz's there was 6.2 grams of non-smokable stems.

Big buds are pretty, but costwise not so much.

  6. I had a really professional dealer once, until he moved. He would weigh it all in front of me, but he would take the stems completely out and then weigh it. Pretty big difference, weight wise.

  7. They can add up but its not so bad.  Now when you start getting seeds and stems thats when things are bad.

  8. Save them up next time you buy a bag and weigh them. Do that a few times and you'll find out the average.
