I am in the process of converting a stand alone cabinet into a relatively small grow (3-4 plants). I plan to purchase a 250 watt MH/HPS light fixture for when the plants are more developed, but im not sure how much light i should use for the seedlings. I was searching around, and found this little guy: Hydrofarm - Hydrofarm FLCO125D System Comp Fluorescent 125W Day The 125 watt bulb that inserts into this system puts out 7000 lumens. Do you guys think that this is enough for a few seedlings during the first couple weeks of there life? Thanks for the opinions GC
you should be fine for 3-4 weeks with that light. After the plants are about 6-8 inches tall you are gonna need that 250
Awesome! One more thing, would I need to increase the light output if I decide to start more seeds in the future? Or would that same light be good for 6-8 seedlings as well?
