I plan on using hps lights,how big do they have to be and how many do I have to buy. And what should I know about the watts. Thanls in advance for the help
A 400w can support maximum growth & potency in a 2.3x2x3' floor area. A 600w will support maximum growth & potency in a 3.5x3.5' floor area. One of your tent's walls is longer than ideal for a 400w and one is close to ideally sized for the same bulb. Your best bet would be to modify the tent, assuming you already have it, so that it's either a little larger (3x3.5') to use with a 600w or a little smaller (2.3x2x3') to use under a 400w. Larger would be more efficient and a 600w would make better use of the vertical space than a 400w would. If you haven't purchased the tent yet, it's cheaper to create your own grow area. Doing so would allow you to tailor the design to suit your needs perfectly.
