How much led light (Quantum board) for 4x4 running C02

  1. I want to run some quantum boards 288 with co2. I’m not sure how many to run. I’m doing two 4x8 beds and I’m not sure the 480 watt 4 board setup is enough power with co2. I was thinking two 320 watt three board fixtures per 4x4 would be better with more power and coverage. Would this be overkill?

  2. Ideally you'd want eight 288 boards per 4x4, running at about 800 watts.

  3. Too much money upfront for me. I would like to get by with 4 but willing to do 6 if needed. Spydr, progrowtech ev700, and greengeenes garden pacific light customs 4x4 build all are around 650-700 watts. So I think I’ll do the 6 and get close to those brands. I was just wondering if anyone was having success with the 4 board setup around 500 watts in c02.

  4. WOOW.....REALLY???

    That's wild.....EIGHT of them?!?!

  5. 8 of them is ridiculous...each qb 288 is capable of a 2.5x2.5 for flowering. You need 4 of them ideally as two of them cover a 2.5 by 4 foot space. Do what most people do...start off with 2 or even 1. Then keep building them as you can afford them.

  6. For co2 enrichment to be most effective, an even ppfd of ~1050 is recommended. Check HLG's ppfd mapping for their 550. You'll see why four boards just isn't enough.
