How much is too much light?

    Hey, my friend was wondering how much is too much light?

    Currently he has 3 week old plants. They are under 150 watt HPS, 27 watt compact cfl, 68 watt 24 inch long cfl, and a 168 LED grow bulb.

    We were wondering if this is too much light? Can a plant get too much?
    BTW, plants are 5 inches away from hps.

    unless you are burning the plant, i do not believe there is such a thing as too much light

    It's possible to light bleach plants but you would see that and be able to deal with it.

    I think it is too much light when the plants starts to hurt from it, the tips of the plants will start to turn white over time. Use your hand, if it is too hot for your skin, the plant won't like it.

    You can't have too much light. You can only have to much heat or plants too close to the light.
