On an 8 week strain, how many weeks into flowering can you pollinate if you want to get mature seeds by harvest time? And what about a 10 week strain? I'm about 5 weeks in right now, so if it's too late, I'll just wait until my outdoor crop is ready to pollinate. Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.
The norm is 4 wks or 30 days. I always go by the strain, so I give 4-5 wks before harvest before I pollinate. I often isolate it on a couple buds and tag them so I can allow them to go a little longer after harvesting the rest of the plant just to be safe and assure good mature seeds.
Thanks, that's a great idea. I pollinated one lower branch of sativa strain that still has a while to go, and tied a rubber band around the branch to mark it. So that works perfect, I already used the bottom branch, now I can take your advise and leave it to mature a little longer than the rest.
