how long should my germinated seeds take to break soil?

    Been about 2 1/2 day since I put in soil they were all germinated in paper towel planted with the root down. Anyone know how long it usually take just hope they aint dead

    Depends on how far into the soil you planted them. 1/2" or so deep and they should all pop in 2 to 5 days (assuming the soil temp and soil makeup is conducive to it)

    I put mine ~5mm into rockwool cubes and they start popping through the surface between 3-5 days. I dont paper towel germinate.

    2 are breakin soil not sure if they look to healthy ill take pics an put in my journal

    oh and how far should my t5 be away from the it says in Grow bible to be 14- 16 inches away but a lot of people on here say 4 - 6 inches

    Split the difference? 8-12 inches?

    Im sure they will be all popped by tomorrow morning. And I would do at least 6" away for now. Seedlings don't need much light I've learned.
