I have an aeroponic unit with a 396 gph pump. I've been told to run it 15on/15off, 1on/4off, and to just never turn it off. What advice do you aero guys out there have?
i have the same question, ive heard 30 sec on 30 sec off is good too, try expierimenting, i just made a system and awaiting transplant. imm gonna runn it with my light timer
It really depends on your setup and how the plants react. Some people might have venting that would make the root area too dry if the spray was left off for 1min, or even 30 seconds. I've got a aero/DWC setup and I'm getting by with 45min spray on, and 15 min off. It's probably not ideal, but my rez temps get quite high if the pump doesn't take a break. Unfortunately it's not cheap to get a timer for 30sec on /30 sec off. Then again others have all aero or areo/NFT and they spray 24/7. What kind of setup do you guys have?
24/7 here baby. For TRUE aero growing (not faux aero with red sprayers), 15sec on and 45sec off is ideal but timers that can handle that aren't cheap.
