This might be a really dumb question, but ill ask anyways. So i want to start growing, but i cant do it right at this moment. But i just graduated and have money to buy seeds now and was wondering, would i be able to buy the seeds now while i still have the money and keep them for a while until i can start growing without any harmful effects on the seeds. The second part to this question is, how long would they be able to keep before they needed to be planted. Any help is greatly appreciated
Seeds most definitely can go bad if kept in the wrong conditions, but can remain viable for years if kept in proper conditions, which are: cool, dry, dark place. A good choice is to put them in an old plastic film container with a bit of uncooked rice grains (to absorb moisture), and put that in the back of a closet or in the refrigerator.
