you can keep a cannibis plant in veg for years as long as the light cycle stays 18/6. mothers have been known to be years old, and the oldest plant i know of was 10 when she was finally flowered out. she had been a mother for clones for almost a decade.
What happens to their size at that point? Do they ever just stop growing, or does it continue to try to grow? I'd like to know because I was considering putting a mother in a separate room and keeping it under an MH for eternity to harvest clones, just like you said.
yes, the plants will grow for a certian amount of time reaching max height, internode development. it will then go into a leaf replacement cycle as it awaits the lessing light of fall.
