How far from HPS

    I was wondering how far do I need to keep my seedlings from my 1000 w HPS light ? Don't want to cause stretching but also do not want to burn them.     I would say 4 feet and let them stretch to their happy point.

    Back of the hand rule has not failed me yet on hps.

    I kept my 400w mh light dimmed to 50% probably like 18 inches away from seedlings.

    I'm having trouble keeping my tent cool mainly because I have a winged hood. Any way to keep the temps down?

    Do u use an inline fan? Not only does it filter smell it helps circulate the air. Draw in cool air and ensure the exhaust is vented outside the grow room. I angle my filter where part is below the lights then right above the lights. It extracts the hotest air while bringing in fresh cool air.

    my set up is down until after Xmas. Let me see if I can find a similar one.
