because when i put my finger in the soil, about an inch or 2 in, its definitely not wet, but its just at a cool temperature. to me it just feels like cool temperature soil, and possibly very little moisture. is this how it should feel when it needs water? last time i watered was 2 days ago, but the pots pretty small, 6 inches across, and 5.5 inches high so yeah. AND its in flowering stage, onto the 3rd day!
If it feels cool, there is moisture in there. Go to the second knuckle, and if it is still as dry as it is on the surface, water. You might want to go to some larger pots for flowering. You'll probably get pretty root bound in such small pots. This might mean smaller plants and smaller buds.
buy a 3 way soil tester. way cheap at 8-10 bucks. test light -moisture and p.h. lots more info than my finger!!!
It is more info but your finger is way more accurate. Trust me, spend $30 on a pH meter and use your finger for a moisture meter. My 2 cents! Good luck!
