I've been trying to copy a few dvds I have so that when I go back to school they don't take up room but the way i've been doing it makes the quality so shitty and I think the audio is out of sync. I tried following this guide [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW958i2Tfwk"][/ame][ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW958i2Tfwk[/ame] but I'm not too happy with the product. Any pointers/suggestions on what to use?
Just use the built-in feature in VLC media player or something similar. If you want to put more time into it, f=go this route: How to easily convert DVD to high quality MP4/MKV H264 using free tools
I generally just turn the DVD into an iso, but HDD space is not an issue for me. Conversion like you're doing is probably going to be your best bet, but you will always sacrifice quality when doing so.
Thanks Ill check that out. But say you download a torrent or something its only 700MB but has pretty good quality. I copy a dvd and its like shitty youtube quality, like the shittiest quality can get on there.
yea it is the custom settings / application / comp specs. that go into the conversion quality. you BEST bet is to make an ISO of the image here is a nice little tool MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor you can aquire it here Magic ISO Maker + Serials - [GuruFuel] (download torrent) - TPB[GuruFuel]
Thanks but I just wanna rip them and put them on my xbox. btw I got it working after a few tries fiddling with the quality settings
Glad to here you found solution going to the xbox eh? Xilsoft Video Converter that is a great tool. do some googling and find a torrent
Thanks. I already use total video converter but maybe ill check that one out too. I've been converting to .m4v and I think those work on the xbox.
