how do i know if my zippo is overfilled?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by awesomemike997, Oct 23, 2010.

  1. i purchased my zippo online, and went to buy some zippo lighter fluid and some flint. but i put the lighter fluid in and i am not sure if its overfilled or what? because my wick is even with the chimney, is it over filled or underfilled

  2. if the fluid TOPS the cotton. it's full.
if you overfill it, just keep it lit for a few seconds or keep the top open unlit for about 20 seconds.

  4. is the zippo/wick brand new ? maybe it just needs breaking in.
if it's used, you need to trim the wick. youtube it.

  10. Just keep pouring the lighter fluid in until you can visibly see the cotton moistening. If you put in too much it'll start overflowing onto your hand.
