how can i tell if my bud is sativa or indica?

    like is there a texture or smell or appearance that will give it away?

    i know what the difference in the highs is and all that i just want to know if there is a way of telling before buying

    You'll only know if you smoke it and analyze your high a wee bit.

    There really isn't any way to tell just by looking at the bud. If you could see one of the fan leaves (which probably was destroyed and made into hash) from the harvest you could get a very strong indication one way or the other.

    Ask whoever sold it to you.

    otherwise just consider the high. if you feel tired and dopey its probably indica or if you feel more alert and high in the head its probably sativa

    Sativa has more of a fruity smell

    mmm i've had some fruity indicas and some skunky sativas.

    just smoke a bowl and you'll know.
