    Do bunnies lay eggs? if not, why does the easter bunny put out eggs, and hides them and shit? That is one sneaky fucker.

    In germany a type of bird nests in the bushes and makes a nest very similar to a rabbit. People thought in the spring rabbits laid eggs for this reason.

    Then it ended up with the egg hunts, making miniature nests to bring inside (baskets) for a bunny to bring treats, etc. You get the drift.
