Hey looking for some input/thoughts!

  1. So I'm building this grow room, hypathedicly! And have hit a bit of a crossroads 600 or 1000w. I would run at least 10,000w not matter what, hypothetically speaking! But I have started wondering if I ran 600s I could effectively get more light/ lumens because of how much closer I could get to my canopy, as well as running a few more 6's for example 10gs or like 16 6's. I feel that I can get the lights closer to eachother and to the canopy then I could with g's so I pose this question...6's or G's and your thoughts are much appreciated...hypothetically of course. also lets consider the heat factor!

  2. 600s are the most efficient of all HPS bulbs if you calculate lumens per watt. Using cool tubes can let you lower the bulbs really close to the canopy.

However, I don't think you will get less heat from having lots of 600s instead of a few 1000s, so you won't be able to place them closer to the canopy. Having more 600s will also mean having to buy more ballasts, bulbs etc
