I had been using the Blue Organic Air Hepa Filters for the intake into my veg room, and I had been using a couple on fixtures in my sealed flowering rooms as a way to filter the air and to keep the hoods and bulbs clean. The problem is that these filters require a great deal of upkeep, and even when brand new, they don't hold a candle to the dust shroom.

I was a bit skeptical of the Dust Shroom at first, but the blue filters clogged so quickly and put such strain on my fans that I had to try something else. (I cleaned the blue ones as directed, but they still sucked.)

I am a convert. I have replaced the blues with the shrooms, and I'll never go back. Despite looking so porous, that shroom catches every bit of dust and doesn't impede the flow of air at all. I haven't cleaned one for a while now, and it pulls just as easily as it did the first day, but it is clearly dirty. If I had let my blue filter go this long, it would have burnt out my fan. The price is still high IMO, but well worth it to me. Just thought I'd put my experience with these two products out there for others who might be shopping for air filters. The Shroom filter is basically identical to the dust filters used on the snorkels of expedition vehicles.

  2. yea those work great but now I have found these at my local store and they are not cleanable but so far it s lasted 3 crops and the cost is low so I can replace then with every crop if needed only costs me about a quarter ounce and thats not much imo - also it is a carbon filter, probably doesent last that long for smell but its good so far I dont need a smell filter where I am growing its not a problem but it dont smell much with this on after 3 full crops
