Ok... So I ordered these two feliz 250 watt super cfls and I was super excited untill now... Now I'm super fucking scared! These get pretty hot, and I saw a video on youtube of a different kind (not feliz) shut off and start a fire. I can see the heat being repelled off the bulbs as you read this (think might start a fire). Anyone wanna give me some hope/confidence/suggestions that would help soo much. Thanks.
Damn cfls get that hot? It is a lot of watts I guess but damn. Wish I could tell ya never had big cfls. Id like to know if that's normal also.
What is your setup like? My suggestion would be a DIY cooltube with 1-2 (depening on cfm) pc fans pushing air through. Would solve all your problems.
Cfls a "good distance" from the plant(s) wont do any good. I do agree that a hopped up regular circulation will cover it, the cool tube just makes more sense to me. It will be easier to control cab temps and allows you to get the light close for the necessary penetration.
