  1. whad up everyone,

i got a surprise in the mail the other day:smoking:...it was a 10gallon sunleaves hydro kit....ive been growing since i was 8 (im 21 now) but every grow has always been soil..ive pritty much masterd the soil shit but ive never done hydro...
what im askn is what kind of nutes should i use?
thiers sooooo much different types out thier it just confuses the FUCK outta my lil juggalo stoner mind.... odds are id have a friend order them from florida an send em up to me...
if i dont get nutes soon i might just go get some gold fish an try an organic hydro grow but that would be much more difficult an probly a waste of time//power an seed's:devious:

any an all suggestions are a massive help

  3. if you can get them, i'd suggest pure blend pro. they're very good for hydro and reasonably priced. how many plants you planning on using in the system?

  4. I have had great success using General Hydroponics Flora series. Although, I'm currently using Fox Farm nutes for my Waterfarm 8-pack. Im not familiar with your system, but I would recommend Fox Farm nutes if you don't have to worry about clogging. Such is the case with Aeroponic systems, in which case I would go with the general hydro flora series.

  5. I went to my local large gardening store witha fancy smancy name that specialises in bulk and soil growing and 2nd in hydro.

I got my general hydro nutes there and nothing has died yet or stop growing. WE did get one sicky from a soil to hydro plant but hey.

  6. thats pic's pritty much it..i think mines a lil bigger...its got spots for 2 plants,,i think imma cut another hole an put another pump in an grow 3plants in it:smoking:...i can get pritty much any kind of nutes i want sent to me...ive used the fox farm in soil grows an is my personal favorite,,thier hydro nutes are good 2?

    much love

  7. Don't forget to get yourself a pH and TDS meter. From all I've seen any hydro nute package works, its just a mater of preference.

As for putting a third plant in, they get really big in hydro, check out my grow:

  8. I really like the Fox Farm hydro nutrients. I have renamed the company to foliage farm, because thats how good this shit is.

You would have no problem with using the fox farm organic hydro nutes, so I would recommend going with those.

Like others have mentioned, get yourself a PH, and PPM meter, Hanna has several options and their products are pretty reliable.

  9. chimera if he doesnt lst like you did could he do 3? Or does it not matter, I am about to try lst for my first hydro grow and am all nervous and am gonna use hooks, the same ones I use for lights and skrew them into my lid of my bucket and do that for lst.

I am not sure if I am doing that rite or not but besides that what i said in the first few sentences.

  10. tell u - all this ooooooh ph & ec scary shit is bollox.
i use canna aqua vega a/b in veg, right up to the stretch in flower & flores a/b after that.
totally stable ph meaning u mix up a stabilised feed, fill ur tank & leave it.
U should check ur ph, but with the canna feeds, assuming ur not using too much, u can just leave them unadjusted until next changeout - 10 - 14 days is fine ;)

excellent base feed but u can add other stuff too.
Avoid bio feeds imo as they tend to go 'off' faster than chemo, so ur ph goes a bit mad & can leave roots open to infection.
    stick with the chemo

as soon as i see pistils i been using bcuzz bloom stimulator - very good stuf.
fk nose how it works but u get mad pistil production & it has very little effect on ph & ec.

from seedlings, as soon as they go hydro, (but u can use it in soil) I use potassium silicate for mad root & stem gggrowth - amazing shit.
if ur not using this u should be.
Improves everything in a plant - roots, stems, leaves, nutrient uptake, immunity, bud size......
    Google it.
watch what u buy tho as it comes in different strengths.
vitalink silicon+ is 1.25% i think, whereas Growth Technology liquid silicon is 5%.
difference is how long it lasts u for a litre bottle.
Is very high ph tho so u will need some phosphoric acid ph down to stabilise.

this grow as well I added canna pk13/14 from week 3 of flower & gave then a 7day veg feed - so u can very easy manipulate the feed if u know ur nutes.

imo ur far better going for 5litre tubs of ur chosen feed rather than waste money on 1 litre.
with 1litre u will run out 1/2 thru a grow & end up with something else.
Stick to a proven feed & use it properly.

Some ppl will say the same about ionics or some other feed.
main thing is, avoid bio & look for a ph stable mix - & get the 5 litre.
dont forget with canna ur actually getting 10L of excellent nutes cos its an A& B thing.

  11. would you use potassium silicate to help with rooting clones or would you just use plain water?
