I'm looking into picking up a quantum 600w electronic switchable,dimmable ballast... price point is around 140 bucks, from the reading I've done, the best two that are out there are the Quantum and Phantom ballasts...
Quantum, it is in my opinion is the best out there right now. I replaced my whole set up with these bad boys.
