Hello friends! Some may remember me from a few weeks ago I tried a set up in a small tin foil space with MG it was a Valliant joke. Now as some of ypu may know I got three new clones (well rooted at the time probably 8 plus inches tall and at least 2 weeks into being a clone) Those clones from February 21 until march 1st have have been in a 32x32 tent 5 feet tall under 1000 watt hps That's them under the 1000 watt hps with no nutrients what so ever. Now j gave them a 1000 watt metal halide, and they are using sensei grow a and b and cal mag. They look better What else can I do to make them look healthy. Their leaves are still a bit curly but I think that problems in the past now Sent from my SPH-L720T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
1000 watt hps in a 32 x 32 x 5' tall tent??? I'd put 400 watts in there, that's plenty. Seems like too little space for 1000 watts. Sent from my SD4930UR using Tapatalk
I totally agree with BlazeDTO360, your tent is around 7 square feet, which means you are blazing 142 watts per square foot, and while that may seem practical, it's not. You are using over (2) times the light you need in that grow area. I usually shoot for 50w to 55w psf and have great results, but you can go up to 65w psf if you want, but anything over that is simply wasted! Use a 600w lamp and dial-back your ballast. You will save yourself all kinds of heating issues just by doing that....
Soil isint dry it's well watered the heat went way down when changing over to metal halide Sent from my SPH-L720T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Instead of smaller bulb I could get a larger tent Sent from my SPH-L720T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yea, larger tent would be good. I've heard guys doing really well with 1000 watt hid in a 5x5. Sent from my SD4930UR using Tapatalk
Hid is hps or mh... High intensity discharge. A bigger area is better if you can. You have a magnetic ballast? Unable to turn down the wattage and heat without changing bulbs?
