Ok, I'm on my second grow now, i used CFL's the first time around, this time around i got a 400W HPS with a MH conversion bulb also. I started em on a CFL, and now they are under the big boy MH, and i'm not sure what height to put the light. I have it all the way up at 1'6" right now, but i kinda feel like it could be lower... whats the standard? I tried searching for the answer but i didnt run across it... a lil help?
bro put that sum bitch under your light, make sure it is about 8 inches from the top. TIP* if you can put your own hand top side under it for length and not get burned your plants will be fine. Look for heat stress to your plants top leaves. If they curl upward or burn the tips you can raise it some. But I have the same light system as far as converted MH and HPS enhanced 400 watt system. You can check out my post and pics. It will help you. I use currently as well CFL, the mix of light creates nice thick buds! APZ
