I'm in the middle of designing/constructing my grow box. My grow box is essentially a trash can with a 4x4 piece of plywood as a lid. My design calls for the lid to be adjustable. I have a closet rack above that I planned on attaching my ropes to in a sort of pulley system to adjust the lid height. My question is what would be the best way to attach 2 ropes to a 4x4 flat board? I was thinking a hook of some kind, but I'm not sure how I would go about it. The lid does not have to go any lower than the can height, I'm going to drill two holes for my reflector to be adjusted. Any guidance would be really helpful.
