Growing weed

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by yoboywatup, Apr 6, 2016.

  1. I recently got 10 blue dream seeds. I have germinated them and they sprouted. I am using 1 75 watt CFL and 1 60 watt CFL for 2 seedlings. it's almost 2 weeks into grow and the third leaves are barley noticeable. what am I doing wrong? also I burnt the leaves when my lights fell when I was at work.

  2. please help and need advice

  3. Do you mean third week from the moment you began germination or third from sprouting? Plants can be slow to start off...

    What soil are they in?

    How close are the lights?

  4. 2 weeks from when I placed them into soil. and the soil Is just some stuff I had In my garage I haven't used in a while. also the lights are 2 inches away. also on my 3 week old plant this weird thing is happening. on side of leaf like a weird wood look on it. please please help

  5. Pics? What soil was it? What are the temps, humidity etc?

  9. I'm going to guess the soil you used has nutrients in it and it's burning the seedlings. The larger plant looks like it might have just been burned by a light but it could be a deficiency or too much of a certain nutrient

There are charts on here that can help, im on my phone so I can't link now but I'll try to find them when im at my computer

  10. will these plants grow will the lights I have ?

  11. No, you're going to need more than 2 small cfl's to support 2 plants.

  12. will they still grow just super slow or are they not doing anything

  13. It's enough for them as seedlings I'd wager but they won't get big, and good flower development requires sufficient lighting. Cfl's don't really provide much light over any distance so any growth below the top will be in the shade...

When I grew using cfl's I used 6 on one plant to provide light to all of the plant and I only got 14 grams off of it...

  14. damn really? this guy told me 100 watts was good for one plant. what kind of lights should I use?

  15. Yeah, 100W ACTUAL is enough for one plant. Is your 75W and 60W Actual or Equivalent?

100w per plant isn't always the way to go either... It's more a generic blanket rule( not implying it's wrong, just many factors affect this). I have 6 plants under a 400w 4 foot 8 bulb t5 and it's more than enough for veg... Where as I have 3 plants under a 600w hps (2 of them for all 6) for flower... It really depends on the type of light and how you are utilizing it, how you train or top the plants... So on

When I used cfl's like I said I had 6 on one plant and the actual wattage was like 250 for one...

  20. Purple stem.. make sure your ph is around 5.5-6 that'll get rid of that and just give it a flush with just water and let it dry out then water it normally that should fix it
