I can honestly say i have never listened to the gratful dead until the beginning of this year. That being said, i feel my appriciation for this hand has grown. I have the "workingmans dead" and "shakedown street" record albums. My favorite dead songs are : Walk me out in the morning dew Shakedown street Us blues Friend of the devil Casey jones What song do you dead heads like to smoke to? Mine is shakedown street. Theres something about the background beat to this song that sounds awsome when stoned
Probably two of my favorite songs. But there are just soooooooo many songs that the Grateful Dead put out its hard to choose. My favorite dead songs, Half Step Mississippi Uptown, I know You Rider, and Scarlet Begonias. If you get a chance check out the Pizza Tapes. Some Jerry and Grisman jamming to the bluegrass classics.
Mr Charlie Tom Thumb Blues New New Minglewood Blues Brown Eyed Women Doin That Rag One More Saturday Night Goin Down The Road Feelin Bad I know You Rider Viola Lee Blues Second That Emotion Cassidy St Stephen Big River ...Theres just way too many good jams to list, start slow and listen to as much as you can, every song is different (even the same songs they play live are never the same way twice) youll notice that in different eras the band has a different sound and youll see that you might prefer some years over others. Happy listening!!
This song always gives me good vibes [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqDjA3DqbcM]Grateful Dead - The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion) - YouTube[/ame]
