Haha just messing around but you know say what you think.
Thanks for putting this up! These are all so amazing. I'd say my personal favorite was Rex800's sky shot.. so simple, yet powerful.
Very nice work everyone! I'm digging the first one under "wheres my light". Physcoperson's pieces were well worth wait too. I also really like SmoothCriminal's basic but yet intriguing. Makes me think what is that? I hope to see participation from the artists in this thread
I didn't get any work from you. I looked though my messages I found a message that said when is the next thread. I don't neglect anyone. EDIT: I looked again and I missed it. I'm going to add them right now because it was simply my bad.
Its all good man. I just remember submitting work pretty much right after the 2nd show so it was quite a while ago. and I really dig that Alladin Taj Mahal looking picture, wish I could draw 3D that good.
My favorites are Psychedelics, all of those works are quite amazing. I really like the use of colors in all of them. You are quite talented to say the least. Do you have more work posted anywhere?
thanks man. most of my work is posted here, but I do have a deviantart page with my work. PsychedelicGoo on deviantART
The first one is supposed to look like the summer sunset at Fern Ridge, a reservoir where me and my father used to go sailing all the time. It took me several tries to get it how I pictured. I dunno if you can tell, but in certain places I'd place a large drop of paint and then pick up the paper so it'd streak down. The first couple times I tried that I ruined the draft's completely lol. The second painting is far more abstract. It is basically a picture that I kept seeing in my dreams, til finally one morning I woke up and sketched it to the best of my ability.
The Taj Mahal one was really good. I also Liked Rexes first picture Pyschoperson, how do you make yours?
All the submissions were dankkkk. Awesome art show dude, full spectrum of selections and styles. Two thumbs up to all of the artists! More equipment and knobs than you or I care to list In terms of my main DAWs/software for workflow though: Logic Studio, Live 8, and Audacity. New album is full vocals and all that, but that one is in the making (has been for a few months now, making an effort to collaborate with many musicians I respect), so I just submitted so of my older work.
In that instance I had drawn them first in pencil. Then I went over each one in ink. I then scanned them into Photoshop and cleaned them up. I made one layer for color drew in solid colors. Then a layer for highlights and a layer for shadows. I lowered my opacity for those layers and drew the highlights and shadows. Then it was finished. I used a wacom tablet for the Photoshop stuff.
I google image searched my username and NancyReagan's piece came up so I thought I would bump this for old time sake. I want to see if anyone is interested in doing another one of these soon.
I'd be down!! I picked up a film camera last year and just recently started to dabble with it. Mainly double exposures but there's a few others that I'd be willing to scan and upload for giggles!
Another one would be great, though I would probably just submit my simple cartoons that are in another thread. I have a ton of psychedelic coloured pictures I've made since the last one, but I'm holding back on those.
