I have read a few articles about legalizing pot. In some of these articles they have some good or bad points. Listen to some of these facts: Average prison sentence for MURDER-6.3 years Average prison sentence for POT-10 years Anyone think that this is wrong? I have found that the number of Americans that have tried pot is over 70,000,000. Now if that many people have smoked then why is it that the gov\'t don\'t notice that the prohibition is not working. The gov\'t spent $18.1 billion dollars on the war on drugs, I think that that money could have been use for other wars that may have come araise. It\'s said that the estimated annual sales for pot is $ 32 billion dollars that\'s $ 1.9 billion dollars that the gov\'t could generate on tax at 6%. [/B][/QUOTE] I have been a member of normal for over 20yrs, participated in MANY rallies and marchs to support legalization, and visit several Herb friendly web-sites to voice my opinion on legalization. I\'m afraid you may have mis-understood my post. I\'m glad that you shared facts like that with the members!!!! The more positive views and facts about Herb made public, the better. I am angry that the Govt. is greedy, and instead of using our money wisely ( you gave several EXCELLANT examples ) , chooses to continue to accept the \"Bribe\" money flowing from Big business to their pockets and \"pet\" programs!! Don\'t forget the Million Marijuana March next saturday May 4th!! We\'re going in full blazing form, and most states are having on in their larger cities. If anything, write your congresspersons! If they don\'t hear from the people they are supposed to represent, they won\'t know what our demands are! The more letters they get, they\'ll realize there is a larger crowd out there rallying for the legalization of the herb! xo~
Impressive! And I never thought of it from that vantage point. I always thought the companies were paying lobbyists to go and preach on capitol hill. They also pay money to the government to keep it illegal? As in: we will not pay you this money if marijuana is legal? Interesting! Indeed!
