I would also just cut at random angles, not just straight down.. So I would miss spots on the first pass. Thus you get a cleaner, faster cut.. everyone should understand this diagram completely..it makes perfect sense
Yea I find hooking a boat to my car and dragging it across the lawn is much more efficient also. Your diagram still makes more sense than the last guy.

if you keep a sharp blade on the mower it will cut nicer/faster.. and it will shread the grass up a little better.... dry grass cuts twice as easy as wet grass
Oh I hear you OP. Gotta love the inovation weed provides you when mowing the lawn. I mean come on, your stoned, listening to music and choping down fucking grass. It's just so beautiful. I love mowing high so much.
