Goldman Sachs Says GOP Budget Plan Will Hurt Economy "Goldman's warning follows Treasury secretary Timothy Geithner's recent claims that the Republican plan would cost jobs"
i think what they mean is "the plan will hurt OUR (GS) economy" of course they don't want things to change. this is one of the primary banks that own the fed. They have a vested interest in continuing the fleecing of the american people (read TAX SLAVES)
In the short run budget cuts will reduce public sector jobs. We need to shrink the public sector for the long term health of the nation. Goldman would rather have the Federal Reserve print more money and give it to them, so I'm not sure why people would listen to GS. Not a surprise that Chuck Schumer's top contributor is the "nonpartisan" GoldmanSachs! Stupid HuffPo goons.
I havent read the GOP plan, but it comes as no suprise to me that Goldman back up ole Timmy at the fed.Timmy used to work for Goldman,as do many of the people in our president's administration. How much money did Goldman get during the bailout? Goldman standing on the democratic side of the debate just seems logical. With that being said both the GOP and Dems can suck on my left nut. Edit: oops was wrong about ole timmy he never worked at Goldman. That would have been the previous head of the fed Mr. Paulson.
